The sailing grounds of Croatia can be divided into two distinct regions:

The Islands of Croatia - a yacht charter Paradise
Dalmatia - the most popular region for yacht charters, owing to its ease of access form Split or Zadar airports, and it's unique proximity to so many enchanting islands, whichever way the wind blows, there is always another new island to explore only a short sail away. Some of the better known towns along the Dalmatian coast Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The renaissance architecture of Hvar or Korcula, typical unspoiled Dalmatian Island villages of Vis or Brac, natural parks of Mljet & Telascica and National parks of Krka Waterfalls & the Kornati islands, these gems are only few of the highlights awaiting you on your yacht charter vacation.

Istria - in the North with well know towns of Porec ,Unesco World Heritage listed Rovinj and Pula with its Roman Amphitheatre. The famous Brijuni islands once presidents Tito's private retreat can also be found of this coastline. The A myriad of islands, including Cres & Mali Losinj, are an easy day sail away. Venice is also only a short cruise from the Istrian coast.

Climate - The coast and islands have a Mediterranean type of climate, perfect for sailing, with hot sunny summers, sometimes disturbed by the odd thundery rain shower. During July and August it can be very hot (up to 38 degrees). June and September are the best months, if you prefer to avoid excessive heat and on the Dalmatian Coast May and October as well. Croatian winds can be characterized as being light to moderate from September to June, with occasional storms, while July and August are generally calm, with more frequent storms. During periods of high pressure, the Adriatic displays the classic rhythms of cooling winds from the sea during the day and warm winds from land during the night.

When to come - The most crowded period is July and August when sailing enthusiasts from Europe flock to the coast but the months of May, June, September and October should not be overlooked for a quieter visit to this unspoiled coast during good weather. The sailing is excellent, as the wind funnels down between the islands. Predominantly westerly in the summer, the occasional "Jugo" blows from the south east to keep you on your toes.

All the ingredients are there for fantastic sailing holidays. Aboard your own, exclusive yacht, you can experience excellent sailing, spectacular scenery and visits to lots of beautiful places that would otherwise not be accessible.

-We look forward to hearing from you!
