Skipper qualifications for Bareboat charter in Croatia
To be able to skipper your own yacht charter in Croatia, it is mandatory that one person on board holds a recognised sailing quailification plus a VHF licence, if not incorperated within the that licence................
The minimum standard in equivalent UK qualifications would be:
RYA International Certificate for Operator of Pleasure Craft (Coastal Waters, Power up to 10m) ( ICC)
RYA International Certificate for Operator of Pleasure Craft (Coastal Waters, Power up to 24m or 80 GT, Sail up to 24m or 80GT) ( ICC )
RYA Day Skipper Shorebased Certificate
RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased Certificate
RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Certificate
RYA Powerboat Level 2
RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence
RYA Day Skipper Certificate of Competence
RYA Coastal Skipper Certificate of Competence
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence
RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate of Competence
MCA Master
MCA Chief Mate
MCA Officer of the Watch
MCA Chief Engineer (Yacht 1,2,3,4)
In all the above cases a VHF licence will also be required.
