Sardinia has a unique coastline with fantastic beaches, bizarre rock formations, caves, secluded bays and turquoise blue waters. During its long history, the coastal areas of Sardinia were visited and colonized by an amazing number of cultures from overseas (Carthaginians, Romans, Arabians, Spaniards) which form the basis of the unique Sardinian culture and its tradition.

The most popular area for cruising is between the islands of Corsica and Sardinia, from Porto-Vecchio in Corsica to Olbia and Tavolare in Sardinia. This stretch of coastline is dense with the islands of La Maddelena National Park offering a myriad of anchorages ,traditional harbours, as well as modern fashionable marinas such as Marina di Portisco.

The Maddelena Islands, located a short distance of the Costa Smerelda coast, consists of six main islands offering many excellent yacht charter itineraries to explore the secluded bays, reefs and beaches, not to mention the nature of the islands, if you choose to set foot on land. Of the fourteen islands Caprera, Spargi, Santa Maria Budelli and Razzoli are the main ones; wild rugged and enchanting. Beyond Spargi is the beginning of the Corsican Marine Park of Lavezzi, followed by the port of Bonifacio, on Corsica. At the North-East coast of Sardinia you will find the many bays of the Costa Smeralda the picturesque Gulf of Aranci and the stunning monolith of Tavolara, rising from the sea to create one of the most memorable anchorages.

Tavolara, one more of the many natural wonders of Sardinia. Sailing toward Tavolara (Table Mountain) a stunning view of the beautiful white limestone monolith, rising 560m from the sea, will open up. In the south of the Island you will find a long sandy beach with a typical Sardinian restaurant which belongs to the King of Tavolara! This bays offers an idyllic anchorage.

Gastronomy- Much of the Sardinian life revolves around food and its unique cuisine which is based on the wide variety of fresh local produce. Unlike in mainland Italy, more bread than pasta is eaten here. The most popular bread is pane Carasau, the traditional thin, crunchy bread. On the coast the dishes are, not surprisingly, cooked from what the Mediterranean sea offers freshly every day and often influenced by the many cultural influences from the past: The fish soup Cassola as well as the bread soup Mazzamorru by the Spanish. The Burrida made from cat shark, olive oil, garlic, vinegar and chopped nuts, originating from Genoa.
