For 2013 we have a new, English owned, base at Port Mahon, Menorca. Only 2.5 hours flying time form the UK Menorca offers a much more relaxed atmosphere, compared to its neighbouring island Mallorca. You can choose form 130 sand beaches & spend pleasant evenings at anchor in one of many pine fringed bays.
Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993, it is protected against major development and is instead home to untouched coastlines and deep gorges where you can still find rare flowers and orchids.It is an island rich in history with strong ties to the UK throughout the 18th Century. There is also a fascinating prehistoric past and culture which is unique to the island.
Port Mahon is only a 10 minute tranasfer from Menorca Airport.
